Volunteer Faculty Dr. Dan Neely gives a monthly donation to keep fighting blindness

Why I'm a Partner in Sight

As one of Orbis’s volunteer doctors, I already donate my time and skills to the fight against avoidable blindness – so why do I also give a monthly donation?

Working for Orbis is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I’ve flown to countries like Cambodia and Ethiopia on board Orbis’s Flying Eye Hospital, and helped train hundreds of local eye doctors using the onboard facilities.

I’ve witnessed incredible things – children seeing their mothers’ faces for the very first time. Grandparents whose vision has been restored after years of suffering in the dark. Advances in training technology that just blows my mind.

But as much as I wish I could, I can’t always be on board the Flying Eye Hospital!

When I’m not volunteering, my monthly donation to Orbis allows me to feel the joy of saving people’s sight every single day. I’m part of a special community of ‘Partners in Sight’, who are helping Orbis to fight avoidable blindness around the world.

And did you know, that anyone can become a Partner in Sight? You can join me and become one right now, just by signing up for a monthly donation!

Give monthly

Having volunteered for so many years, I know how vital monthly donations are to Orbis’s work. As I’m sure you can imagine, bringing the Flying Eye Hospital to countries around the world and supporting long-term programmes in-country takes a lot of time and hard work. It’s only with the help of Partners in Sight that Orbis can look to the future and continue to do this life-changing work.

I can only imagine how many lives could be touched by their work, and how many lives could be transformed. And you could play a very important role in making this work possible.

So please, become a Partner in Sight and join me as part of the Orbis family. Together, we can fight avoidable blindness and transform so many lives – today, and long into the future.
