Thank you to all those who attended our Pasadena event

Orbis would like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who joined us in Pasadena on September 25 for an evening hosted by Peter and Samantha Knight. The gathering brought together philanthropists, partners, supporters, and Orbis team members for meaningful conversation and connection around our shared goal of improving access to eye care worldwide.

From the opening reception to the closing remarks, guests enjoyed a relaxed and engaging evening. A close-up magic performance provided a touch of entertainment, while a “fireside-style” panel offered insight into Orbis’s work — from the Flying Eye Hospital to innovative approaches to community outreach.

During the evening, attendees heard personal stories from Orbis volunteers and program leaders about patients whose lives have been changed through restored sight. Speakers, including Orbis Canada Board member and former Orbis patient, Bulgan Orgilsaikhan, and Orbis Volunteer Faculty member Dr. Donny Suh, also shared updates on Orbis’s priorities for expanding access to quality eye care, particularly in underserved communities, and the Knights reflected on their family’s long-standing commitment to helping others see a brighter future.

The event helped raise vital funds to improve access to eye care and helped strengthen connections among the Orbis community.

The conversations and connections from Pasadena will continue to inspire our work as we help change the way the world sees.
