After a decade of work growing Orbis’s partnership network in India, Dr. Rishi Raj Borah has earned a spot on IAPB's 2017 list of Eye Health Heroes.
Earlier this year, Orbis nominated Dr. Rishi Raj Borah for IAPB’s Eye Health Heroes, and we are thrilled to announce that he was selected.
The IAPB Eye Health Heroes initiative recognizes and celebrates frontline staff whose work in the field and engagement with the community makes a real difference in restoring sight. Nominated by IAPB member organizations from within their ranks, or from their partner organizations, the nominated Heroes are from the South-East Asia region.
Through this journey, Rishi has been an able guide to partners, developing comprehensive children eye care services with a flair of charming people with his affable personality. His resourcefulness and ability to find creative solutions has helped partners surmount challenges, and at times exceed their own expectations.
Rishi is the glue that binds the Orbis India Partner Network together. He is also the guiding light to the program team giving both direction and vision for the future. He is a great asset for us all and remains one of the most accessible members of the program team for both partners and team members alike.
