Through Cybersight, our expert volunteers teach and support eye care teams around the world using the latest advancements in internet and mobile technologies.

JOB SUMMARY
As an essential member of the Telehealth & Program Technology (T&PT) team, the Telehealth Associate is responsible for assisting with daily administration and operations of the distance learning platform Cybersight.
LOCATION
This is a fully remote role. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to be available during North American business hours.
REPORTING & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Telehealth Associate will report directly to the Senior Manager, Telehealth. This position will work closely with the Telehealth team and interface occasionally with the IT, Marketing & Communications, and Development teams. This position also regularly interfaces with and supports the global community of Cybersight users, including Orbis Volunteer Faculty members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
User Support:
- Provide technical assistance to users and administration for Cybersight, including approving new users, monitoring case activity, and providing weekly updates.
- Work with Senior Manager to respond to support tickets to assist our users with general questions they have about our services and technical problems they are facing.
- Monitor telehealth-related systems and alerting management to any unusual activity.
Program Coordination:
- Support mentors and Orbis Volunteer Faculty in the use of telehealth-related tools.
- Assist during weekly live telehealth webinars with Orbis Volunteer Faculty.
- Support the Senior Manager with global and regional telehealth initiatives as needed, such as patient pre-screening, to ensure effective delivery of Orbis surgical training programs.
- Upload educational content to Cybersight’s WordPress site.
- Support communications and marketing activities, including writing copy, assembling reports, and designing and coordinating production of marketing materials, such assuch as e-newsletters, email marketing pieces, surveys, etc. for distribution.
Team Admin:
- Process check requests, consultant invoices, and expense reports as needed.
- Assist with special event coordination as related to conferences and any other Telehealth and program technology focused events.
- Track Cybersight activity for reporting purposes and keep Senior Manager abreast of trends and potential issues.
- Complete administrative tasks to support the Telehealth team as necessary.
TEAM BACKGROUND
The Telehealth & Program Technology Team is responsible for technology support of Orbis programs, which includes the Telehealth and distance learning platform—Cybersight. The team is also responsible for guiding and supporting partner organizations’ efforts in healthcare technology management.
The team focuses on integrating Cybersight with Orbis programs across the world and work together to expand Orbis’s clinical, educational and technology initiatives while developing long-term relationships with physicians, telehealth-partnering hospitals, educators, and IT & communications specialists. The team also closely monitors trends and new innovations in the healthcare technology and public health space that should be nurtured in order to revolutionize practice in the resource poor settings we serve.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years of relevant, professional experience in an administrative capacity.
- Experience working in global public health or international development role preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, or other relevant field (a focus in Informatics, International Relations, Medical Informatics, Health Systems Strengthening, and/or Management Information Systems is a plus) preferred.
- Interest in technology, e-learning platforms, and/or a medical environment is a plus.

- Strong organizational & planning skills with keen attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks and details efficiently while meeting deadlines.

- High levels of comfort with technology and troubleshooting with others.
- Interest in international relations, marketing, and communication is a plus.
- Passion and interest for Orbis’ mission and global health initiatives.
COMPENSATION
This role can be performed remotely anywhere in the world and the salary offered will be scaled to the final candidate’s location using benchmarking data for organizational parity. Orbis also offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package for consideration that varies by country.
Candidates in the United States can expect a range of $60,000-65,000 USD per year for this full-time role.
