Interim CEO

Diana Wheeler, a longtime Orbis Board Member, is currently serving as Interim CEO of Orbis International. With deep Orbis experience and a 20+ year history of supporting Orbis, Diana has also provided interim pro bono leadership in multiple Orbis positions in the past.

Diana was appointed Interim CEO of Orbis in March 2025.

Diana Wheeler served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for FlightSafety International, a Berkshire Hathaway company, from 2014 to May 2020, when she retired to focus on volunteer activities. Diana also served as Corporate Counsel at FlightSafety from 1998 through 2005. From 2006 through February 2014, Diana worked pro-bono at Orbis in different capacities. She provided support overseeing the Flying Eye Hospital and the renovation of an MD-10 into Orbis’s current Flying Eye Hospital.

Diana joined the Orbis Board of Directors in April 2011, was appointed Secretary later that year, and was named Vice Chair in July 2022. She is also a member of the Nominating and Governance, Finance, and Executive Committees. In addition, Diana has been a member of the Board of New England Law – Boston since 1998, where she has served on Compensation, Endowment, Audit, and Search Committees. Diana served as Vice-Chairman of that Board for several years and as Chairman of the Board in 2020 – 2021. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from New England Law in 1990. In December 2021, Diana was appointed by Bishop Andrew Dietsche to serve as a Trustee of the Episcopal Diocese of New York (“EDNY”). She also serves on the Real Estate, Risk Management, and Audit Committees and is Co-Chairman of the Human Resources Committee of EDNY.

Diana was appointed Interim CEO of Orbis in March 2025.
