Innovative technology

Surgery and medication are key to treating avoidable blindness, but education and mentorship are crucial in preventing it for good.

Using new and innovative technology, our volunteers can train eye teams all over the world using just a computer and smartphone. From lectures and symposiums to live surgery Q&A's, pioneering technology means we can provide training to more people in more places than ever before.

With avoidable blindness set to triple by 2050, the eye care community needs to think of new and innovative ways to reverse this trend before it’s too late. The old way simply isn’t working - we need to push boundaries and embrace innovation now if we’re going to ensure a brighter tomorrow for millions.

Which is why we're using telemedicine to broadcast surgeries around the world, simulation centers to improve training outcomes and artificial intelligence to enhance detection rates.

But we can't do this without your help.

Every donation made between now and December 31st will be matched, meaning your kindness will have twice the impact. So please donate, and transform twice as many lives today.
