Eye Screen for
Ice Cream™

Thank you for taking a child you love to get their eyes checked. Eye exams are important for catching issues early and keeping eyes healthy. This is especially true for children, whose vision may not develop properly if a problem is not detected and treated urgently.

Help a Child Access Vital Eye Care

Globally, there are 450 million children who cannot get the treatment they need for a sight condition. Addressing vision impairment can enhance a child’s educational opportunities, boost their self-confidence, and make playing and socializing easier. Something as simple as getting glasses can unleash a child’s potential, giving them an opportunity to thrive.

Orbis works across the globe to ensure children everywhere have access to the eye care they need to thrive, and we train eye care professionals to deliver high-quality, specialized care for children.

We should all be showing our eyes some love, but children need a little help to do it. Here’s where you come in!

Now that you've helped a child get their eyes tested, and got a free ice cream in the process, please consider making a donation to help another child access vital eye care.

Children who receive surgery during our training programs are given a cuddly Seymour the Bear to accompany them and provide comfort throughout their eye care journey.

What is Eye Screen for Ice Cream?

Just in case you don't know, Eye Screen for Ice Cream is a cool new campaign from Orbis to encourage parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and caregivers of all sorts to book an eye test for a child at a participating eye care practice—and get a free ice cream as an incentive.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to participating eye care practices and ice cream parlors. As this campaign grows, we will add more and more participating stores to the list.
