Ann brings more than two decades of experience in global strategy, advocacy, communications, and nonprofit leadership to her role. She is a proven and trusted thought partner to senior leadership, known for her ability to translate strategy into action across complex, global organizations.
At Orbis, Ann supports leadership and global teams in driving strategic alignment and advancing our mission to improve access to eye care globally. Being nearsighted her entire life, she has personally experienced how access to eye care and clear vision shapes opportunity—something she now sees firsthand through her children’s need for glasses as well. She is motivated by Orbis’s commitment to making eye care available and accessible, particularly for children and communities who might otherwise be left behind.
Prior to joining Orbis, Ann spent more than 16 years at Plan International in a series of increasingly senior leadership roles encompassing advocacy, communications, and executive operations. Most recently, she served as Senior Advisor, Strategy & Engagement, leading efforts to drive policy and systems change across gender equality–focused issue areas. In this role, she helped advance Plan’s global strategy to position the organization as a leader in girls’ rights, diversify and grow revenue, and strengthen alignment across global teams.
Ann’s career began with roles focused on democracy, governance, and humanitarian advocacy, including at World Relief, where she worked closely with government agencies, multilateral partners, and civil society organizations across Africa and other regions.
