Arlene Lozano

Arlene Lozano joined Orbis International in 2017 bringing over 15 years of experience in program management and process improvement for domestic and international organizations serving vulnerable populations.

Arlene is personally dedicated to working collaboratively with leaders and organizations to develop thoughtful and effective methods to address health disparities, combat youth homeless and trafficking in persons, and address social injustice. Over the course of her career, Arlene has visited and worked in over 30 countries.

Arlene has over 15 years of experience in program management

At Orbis, Arlene leads efforts to pivot program systems and processes in support of Orbis’s efforts to expand restricted project-based funding. She is responsible for promoting an organizational culture of evidence-based & data driven decision making; building a Quality Assurance infrastructure to support programmatic credibility & continuous improvement; and strengthening organizational capability and capacity to engage in emerging approaches of MERL Tech (M&E, research, and learning enhanced by technology). Arlene also leads program and business development strategies to strengthen Orbis’s long-term investment in Latin America & the Caribbean.

Prior to Orbis, Arlene was first Vice President of Latin American then Vice President of Research, Evaluation and Learning at Covenant House International; and Director of Performance Improvement at Primary Care Development Corporation. Arlene has a MA from Columbia University, School of International & Public Affairs, and a BA from the University of California, Irvine.
