Registration for Orbis Canada Plane Pull for Sight 2017 is Now Open!
Orbis Canada Plane Pull for Sight is back for 2017!
The greatest Tug-of-War challenge in the whole of Canada, against a 60-tonne Boeing 757 aircraft, is taking place this year in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.
Teams of 20 determined plane pullers will compete to see who can move the 757 a distance of 20ft in the quickest time possible.
Each team must raise a minimum of $2000 ($100 per person on average) to take part with all money raised going towards our Fight to End Avoidable Blindness around the world!
Smaller teams are also welcome to join, as long as they can attract at least 10 members. Each member of a smaller must raise a minimum of $150 (on average).
Toronto - Sunday, 28 May
Vancouver - Sunday, 11 June
Calgary - Saturday, 17 June
Awesome prizes and trophies will be up for grabs including Top Fundraiser, fastest pulling team and Top Fundraising Team. So tell your friends, send an email to all of your colleagues, share it with your congregation and enter a team for this year’s Plane Pull for Sight!
It is also a free event for spectators, so invite your family and friends to cheer you on! There will be a host of other activities for both adults and children. Music. Entertainment. Educational demonstrations. Interactive tours. Tasty food trucks. It’s going to be a party on the tarmac!
All of your amazing fundraising efforts will go to help increase access to vision care around the world. 285 million people are visually impaired, let's bring that number down!
