Hello. My name is Andriy Mykhaylivskyy and I am 15 years old and attend Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. I'm doing a service learning project for my social studies class and have chosen ORBIS as my subject because I want to help ORBIS help blind children see.

Last year I began educating my fellow classmates about the problem of preventable blindness in the developing world and the work that ORBIS is doing to change the situation. ORBIS kindly sent me brochures and an informational video to help me share their story.

Now, for the second year in a row, I would like to help raise funds to benefit ORBIS as part of my project. Last year I raised $51. I hope to raise at least $150 this year. I will be raising money in my school lunchroom and in the community.

Why I support ORBIS
I admire ORBIS’s work and like the fact that they are helping children my own age.
